A spray foam survey is a check of foam insulation sprayed on the underside of a roof, recording what it is and how the timbers beneath are coping.
The inspector goes into the roof void, notes the type, thickness and spread of the foam, takes moisture readings on timber within reach and photographs what is visible.
A written report with the findings, the limits of what could be seen and a clear recommendation. It can be passed to a lender, buyer, solicitor or contractor.
Ahead of a sale or remortgage, after a surveyor or valuer mentions foam, when you spot damp or staining, or before solar panels or a loft conversion.
